GW 5: Therapy-informed pastoral accompaniment

from $125.00

Our world is experiencing trauma and emotional crisis. We witness daily spiritual and psychological distress but often feel disempowered to help. This course aims to practically equip us to see pastoral and therapeutic skill as a vital component in our mission to carry good news to the poor, the grieving, hurting and lonely and all those waiting to hear Jesus' message of healing and liberation.

Combining skills of therapeutic accompaniment, pastoral care and reliance on the Holy Spirit we will seek to practically equip participants in how to journey alongside others. We will look at how we create relational depth and walk through our own brokenness or fears to take up our authentic identity as empowered children of God. We will learn core skills and qualities based on pastoral and counseling good practice so we can gain confidence in stepping out. We will learn how we can use these gifts to go into all the world with compassion, insight and revelation empowered to help catalyze and promote change.
